Insurance and Payment Policy
In today’s changing health care environment, the financial relationship between physician and patient takes many forms. If we participate in your health care plan, we will file the claims directly. You are responsible for any deductible or co-payment. Newborns must be added to your policy within 30 days of the date of birth. Also many insurance plans (HMO/POS) require that you choose a primary care physician (PCP), the physician who will provide and/or coordinate all patient care. The PCP’s name will be printed on your child’s card. If we are not the PCP, your insurance may deny benefits and you will be responsible for the entire bill.
Your insurance (particularly PPO plans) may exclude, or limit, certain services like well child care and immunizations, based upon the benefit levels chosen by your employer. You should carefully review your plan’s benefit description for details. Peachtree Park Pediatrics does not have information about your personal insurance coverage. You may be eligible to receive vaccines at a reduced self pay cost through a program called Vaccines for Children (VFC). If your insurance does not cover immunizations please notify us at your child’s first well child visit.
If we do not participate in your plan, we will provide you with a claim form to submit to your insurer. You are responsible for the total bill, then you collect applicable payments from your insurer. Payment of your portion of your child’s bill is expected at the time of each visit.
Physician Interlink manages the billing and collections of our practice. Questions about payment and bills should be directed to Physician Interlink at (404)351-5914. Questions about referrals and insurance should be directed to (404)351-1131.
Kid’s Health First, a partnership among area pediatricians, is our primary agent for contracting with managed care companies.
